Question - I have a 1962 Selmer Mark 6 relacquer in need of an overhaul, should I have A Road Warrior Saxophone Patina done as part of the overhaul?

Answer -   If you like the vintage look ( and many people do) you can't go wrong. For a reelativly small investment the value of your horn will be greatly increased not to mention the pride of ownership. In addition, I know world class players that feel strongly that instruments in bare brass play better than lacquered horns. The overhaul can be done by me or the mechanic of your choice.

Question - I am a professional Sax Mechanic. How will a Road Warrior patina increase the value of my overhaul work to my customers?

Answer - I strive to provide service at a price that can reasonably be passed on to the customer with room for additional mark up by the mechanic. When you receive the horn it will be clean. Dent and spring replacement can also be addressed. Horns sent to you in ready to assemble condition will make your work quicker, easier and more profitable . The classic patina look can be very a positive factor in a customers decision to overhaul. The look helps to sell the overhaul job.  If possible, keep a horn with a road warrior patina in your shop as an example .
