Forced Patina finish on freshly overhauled Selmer mark 6
This Horn was completely overhauled by my good friend and working associate Emilio Lyons the internationally know Sax doctor. The instrument was brought to Emilio by a customer in need of major work and looking quite badly. The customer saw a just overhauled horn in his shop on which I had applied a forced patina and said "make mine like that" as part of the overhaul. This is how it has been with many customers . The look of these horns literally sells the work. Emilio is still doing great work and can be reached through Facebook or by contacting me on this site.

About
After half a dozen years applying Forced Patinas on my own repair work and for other mechanics to incorporated in their over hauls , the desired look can now be dependably produced and is available to others via this web site . It has taken a combination of considerable research and a lot of experimentation. I can Force a Patina producing the rich vintage look of 50 or 60 years in my shop. For potentionally valuable instruments that are bad looking due to ware or a relacquer, the increase in value can be dramatic.
